The Bowman family is special to the Duerr family! We met them a few years back because they moved here to plant a church and eventually asked us to be on the leadership team. Now Josh works with Brian at Valley Life Tramonto and Brooke loves our littles so well when I’m at work. We admire a lot about their relationship and how they have raised their family.
Brooke had a vision for this photo that involved an umbrella. Brian holds the umbrella as the leader of the family and underneath it is a place of safety, love, goodness, peace, acceptance and joy. Brian is in charge of making sure it is that way. Outside is cold and harsh, but within the family it is safe and warm and loving. Jesus’ plan for family is truly beautiful.
We headed to High Street which was a fun urban-ish area. It was a little bit freezing and on the verge of raining the entire time, so kind of perfect for the umbrella idea. We even stopped so they could “chat” outside a little shop. They’re really great at acting 😉
A side note, I realized I have a thing for symmetry. So I was all about this location, everything from the parking garage to the “alleys” to the main drag. It was such a cool location to shoot. Combined with one of my favorite families, it was the recipe for fun!
