Will and Naida planned an incredibly elegant wedding up in Sedona, Arizona at the beautiful L’Auberge. Will and Naida were so relaxed and able to truly enjoy their celebration. The morning ceremony took place with the creek behind them. My favorite part at the reception was that everyone was seated at one long table, with a sweetheart loveseat in the center for the couple…and it was from their home. Such a sweet touch! It was truly a joy filled day. Once the wedding ended, the three of us headed up to Edge of The World, north of Oak Creek Canyon for what I can only describe as a once in a lifetime sunset couples session. Naida hiked in her dress like a champ, Will made sure everyone was ok, we were so close to getting rained on but got incredibly lucky as it passed and traveled south. We created some memorable images to say the least.
And for a moment, I need to mention how blessed I was to be a part of this. I don’t exactly have the budget yet to brand myself, but if I did, lighthearted and fun would be (and is) a big part of the definition of Melissa Ivy Photography. Every once in a while you need to be sentimental. I started doing photography again just over a year ago. I met Will and Naida at the bridal show, we had a consultation a few weeks later, and decided to go for an engagement session. It went well and they trusted me with their wedding day. They are not on social media and had a small glimpse of what my work looked like. They brought me one and a half hours north after their wedding day and trusted that I could provide them some stunning images. Two creative visions came together and it was beyond words. Thank you, Will and Naida, for trusting me. Even more than being able to capture these images, it was a blessing to get to know you two and witness your love for one another. Congratulations!
